The New Stuff

So I have changed my blog up a bit with the help of a friend, (Thanks Kaitlyn!) and can't wait to get to work on my new posts.  Stuff should be going up on Mondays, since I have time on Mondays between college classes. If you want to know more about me as a person, I have added an "About Me" page, so you can actually find out something about me rather than wonder.  So, the next thing... What do y'all want to see? Let me know in the comments,  and we can start working together. Sound good? I will be doing some posts on sports, and stuff that I do, but y'all should have a voice too!  So, I'll let you get back to reading blogs, like you have been doing. Enjoy! 😁😁                       ~Tabby~

What Happened....

So here is what has been going on for the past week and a half.

Hopefully this will work out better than what I was thinking.

Okay, so let's start at the beginning, shall we? On Thursday, March 21st, 2019 I had a doctor's appointment. After the appointment my mom and I got into the car and started driving home. Mom was driving and I was in the passenger seat texting a couple of people. I was texting them because I was getting kind of depressed and was having some anxiety. Well, more than just "some" anxiety. Anyways, I was texting them. A couple of them were from work. One of them asked what I as doing, and I told him. I have been self harming for a couple of months, and not on my arms so that people can see. I've been doing it on my legs, so that no one would see the scars. Anyways, I told them all what I was getting ready to do. One of them told our boss, and the police were called. My mom and I got home, and she was taking my brother to a class with our home-school group. While they were gone, a couple of County Sheriff's came to our house. I went outside and one asked if I was Tabitha. I answered honestly, and said yes. They told me that someone had called the sheriff's office and told them that I was going to self harm. I said that I was, and we talked for a while. Then they said that they were taking me into protective custody. I was taken to a hospital, and my siblings (who I was watching at the time) were taken to a friend's house until my mom or dad got home. When we got to the hospital, I was told that they wanted to take me to Kansas City to a psychiatric hospital for a mental evaluation, and get me some help. I agreed to go, so they had the nurse at the hospital make arrangements with the hospital in KC. One of the sheriff's had been trying to get ahold of my parents to let them know what was going on. They finally got ahold of my dad, who told them not to take me to KC, and that he would be there to pick me up in "X" amount of time. The sheriff came back into the hospital room that I was in, and told me that my dad had refused to let me go, but that they were sending me anyway. My dad had texted me by then, and the sheriff told me not to contact him. I told him I wouldn't, and he took me from the hospital to the sheriff's office, because of my dad's reaction. As far as my dad knew, I was still at the hospital. So they called him and told him that he didn't need to come because they were sending me anyway. He wasn't happy, but he couldn't really do anything about it. The sheriff had a lookout for him in case he tried to come get me. We waited for the transport service to come get me, and we went out to the car. The transport service then took me to Kansas City to the Psychiatric Hospital. I can't reveal anything about the people there, because that would be a H.I.P.P.A. violation, but I can tell you kind of what it was like. I met with a couple of doctors per day, and I also met with a therapist on the daily. Aside from that I was spending time with some other people that were there for the same reasons I was. Anxiety, depression, and other issues. While there, I was able to learn some ways to reduce my anxiety, and help me when I have to deal with triggers. I will do a YouTube video soon on anxiety triggers, and some other things. For now, I am readjusting to life outside that facility. I am now working on fixing as many things as I can. For now I'll sign off, and hopefully post again soon. Thanks for reading! Tabitha.
