You wanna talk stressful? Let's talk about doing my last year of high school, and my first year of college, IN THE SAME SCHOOL YEAR! Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I am really excited to start college, because my major is Interior Design. To start out, I am just taking a couple of classes, but come October, I am taking a few more classes. I am taking color theory, and math, because Math is a requirement for my class. I am SUPER excited about Color Theory. I got my books when I finished registering, and got my room assignments, and CT looks like SO much fun. I got a tablet/ Computer, and since my younger brother and sister tried to hack into it, it hasn't been working right. So I am going to see if I can get it fixed. Hopefully I can, because I need it for my classes. I am also taking a typing class, which is actually going really well. I have been getting faster at typing, and having less mistakes. Which is good, considering the problems I have been having with my computer.
Another thing I am excited for, is my Aunt and Uncle that just moved to Texas are getting their house around Christmastime. Yeah, that means I won't get to see them, but I DO go spend Christmas doing some ministry work in K.C. That is a lot of fun. I have gone the past couple of years, and had a lot of fun. I am also doing the same thing over Labor day weekend, since I don't have classes. Except the one on Labor Day Weekend is in Missouri. I have been looking forward to this since last year. I was gonna go last year, but I was being released from the hospital about an hour after I would have left, and I was still recovering. So that wasn't the best time to be chasing a bunch of little kids around. And I am now almost fully recovered from my Skateboarding injury. If you haven't heard the story, here it is.
I was skateboarding in our basement, and was not wearing shoes. I was feeling invincible that day. If you ever have a moment where you think 'I can do this!' but you haven't been able to do it in the past, don't do it! I did, and ripped my toe part of the way off. I had to get stitches, and it still hurts like crazy. Even though I got the stitches out a few days ago. Thankfully it happened AFTER the pageant. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done a good job at ALL!!!! So, since I am doing college and high school at the same time, I have been getting the question 'Are you going to live in the dorms, or at home?' This year I am living at home. Next year, we will see if I can rent an apartment with a classmate. If I can, that means I won't be spending a fortune on gas for my car, which I haven't gotten yet. Hopefully I will soon, because as is, whenever I am going down there, I will be going to join my dad at whatever job he is working at.
Doesn't sound too bad, until you add the fact that he still hasn't paid me for work he said he would. And that will just continue. So I need to find a job, and FAST!!!! Then I ought to be able to pay for college, and an apartment, and gas, and everything. I have my food handler's license, so I just need to start applying for jobs. Maybe I can get a job at the Wendy's that is a couple of blocks away from the campus. The cool thing is, my mom used to work at that exact Wendy's! Maybe I should send in a application... Anyway, enough of my ranting and raving at you. Please follow me for an update whenever I can get one! Hopefully I can do one at least once per week. It can be an English assignment!!!! Love y'all! Tabitha.
