The New Stuff

So I have changed my blog up a bit with the help of a friend, (Thanks Kaitlyn!) and can't wait to get to work on my new posts.  Stuff should be going up on Mondays, since I have time on Mondays between college classes. If you want to know more about me as a person, I have added an "About Me" page, so you can actually find out something about me rather than wonder.  So, the next thing... What do y'all want to see? Let me know in the comments,  and we can start working together. Sound good? I will be doing some posts on sports, and stuff that I do, but y'all should have a voice too!  So, I'll let you get back to reading blogs, like you have been doing. Raising the Optional Contest Fees, car show, and MORE about my life!

So, at th moment, I am trying to raise my Optional Contest fees, as well as gear up for CYIA, or Christian Youth in Action! I am hoping to start a prayer group, and so I am working on that. Tomorrow is the car show. I am having a booth, and I will sell breads and cookies. I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! That is my main plan for raising my Optionals fees. Hopefully I will be able to make enough. I will be setting out a tips jar, so hopefully I will meet my goal! I also got new glasses today!!!! They are SO cute!!!!!!!!!!! They’re red, and black, and AMAZINGLY cute! Tonight I have a homeschool picnc(because I’m homeschooled!) and hopefully all of my friends from the homeschool group will be there! I leave Sunday afternoon for CYIA, and will be there for two weeks. Then I get home for( almost) 24 hours,  and I leave to teach a 5 day club in Sedan KS. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!! See y’all soon!!!         MY  FIRST  NAM  PAGEANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So here is the story of how I (Apparently) got into NAM. Classic Literature

I Love reading classic literature. For instance, my most recent visit to the library yielded an autobiography about William Allen White, a biography about the great Benjamin Franklin, a couple of books by Maya Angelou, and a book called "The Tale of Arthur" by J.R.R Tolkien, and a collections of Shakespeare's writings and plays. I love reading stuff like that. It's just me. Whenever I go to the library I always head for the non-fiction section. It might drive some people crazy. But guess what? If they don't like it, that is their problem, not mine! I know that seems cold, but it's true. If someone doesn't like you, that's their problem. You shouldn't have to change who God made you to be in order for someone to like you. My birthday is in a week, I'm turning 18, and I'm just now learning this people! Dress Shopping... What a disappointment!

Question: So, what ISN'T at a thrift store??? Answer: My winning dress for National American Miss. So yesterday, I went dress shopping with my mom, and we went to 10 different stores looking for "The Dress."  Guess what we didn't find? So most of yesterday afternoon was a wash. A rub. A failure. So... Next up, Consignment Shops! SO MUCH FUN!!!! I'm still $500 away from my sponsorship fee, and the pageant is two weeks away. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG HERE?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I really want to be in the pageant, and at least do well enough to say that I'm not a complete failure. But that is what it looks like the results will be. Complete. Utter. FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But to quote one of my favorite lines, and I have no idea where I picked it up "Iss awll goooooood!" So here we go! Hopefully I will succeed next week when I go shopping. But for now NADA! ZILCH!
