The New Stuff

So I have changed my blog up a bit with the help of a friend, (Thanks Kaitlyn!) and can't wait to get to work on my new posts.  Stuff should be going up on Mondays, since I have time on Mondays between college classes. If you want to know more about me as a person, I have added an "About Me" page, so you can actually find out something about me rather than wonder.  So, the next thing... What do y'all want to see? Let me know in the comments,  and we can start working together. Sound good? I will be doing some posts on sports, and stuff that I do, but y'all should have a voice too!  So, I'll let you get back to reading blogs, like you have been doing. Enjoy! 😁😁                       ~Tabby~

Stuck at home, tired of Fearmongering

A lot of my friends were complaining about how they had to get up early to go to school. And then the PANDEMIC hit. Oh no. So scared. I can't leave my house or I'll get INFECTED!!!! Okay, not really. I had to go to class every day for a month. Still COVID Free! And I haven't even been exposed. However, the freakin mask thing is stupid. It is a hazard to some people's health. And you can't even get INTO some places without a mask. When is this fearmongering going to stop? Why hasn't it stopped already? I was looking up things to do online because I was bored and wanted something to do, and guess what? It was all stuff you had to order online cause you couldn't go to the store because they weren't open DUE TO COVID! Okay, in Kansas (According to whoever is reporting all of these numbers) there have been about 20,194 confirmed cases of "COVID" and guess how many deaths to those 20,194 cases? 300. It sounds like a lot, but guess what? It is a LOT

Up to some good

So life is at it again. I am now taking an EMT class, which is amazing, and I am also working for both my father's company and for Chick-fil-A. I am really excited about the EMT class because it is something I always wanted to do. I really can't wait until the end of the semester. Because we (those in the class that qualify) get to take our state board exam. If we pass that, guess who gets to move on with their career? If we fail, then we have to take the class again, learn everything again, and hope we pass the second time. And if third times the charm doesn't end up applying, you have to wait something like ten years to take the class again. And hope everything you learned doesn't expire in that time. I really want to pass the class the first time... But we'll see how that works. So let's get this down! I also have been going through some interesting stuff. See, apparently, it is bad for you to just skip meals. Mostly if you skip multiple of them in a row. W

Again With Life

Whelp here's to life! Life is at it again. I have started my EMT class, and am loving it so far. I also managed to injure myself, so that's wonderful. I have to get a physical done and am pretty sure that this injury is going to be a problem. I am really loving life because I know that I can do what I have to do, do what I want to do, and succeed in whatever I really commit myself to. So are you going to commit yourself to something? Do you like something enough to commit to doing it no matter what happens? Are you willing to take a calculated risk on something that you enjoy? I know this post was short, but it is supposed to make a point. Have you figured out that point yet? Have fun!!!! Tabby.

Life Update

Recently I got a job at Chick-fil-A, recently being this is my week of work (including training.) It is interesting working here. If you have ever been to a Chick-fil-A, you know that their table markers are color-coded. However, that is a bit of a challenge for mee. See, when I was taking Interior Design classes I was on my way to class one morning, and actually had a single-vehicle accident, and hit my head on the upper console for the rear heater/AC. Since then I have been slowly going color-blind. While it kinda sucks that I can't see color (especially since I love painting) I have gotten over it. I painted a sunrise fairly recently, and it is my first painting as a colorblind person, and it turned out (according to others) beautifully. I gave it to our new pastor and his family, and they loved it. I cannot wait to continue painting. There is a possibility that I will film a video of me painting as a colorblind person. Someone suggested that I label my paints, so I don't h

Using skills people didn't know you had

Most people think that you have one specific skill set, and they take advantage of that. However, if you spent your childhood baking like me, and that is something you love to do, then why not make use of that skill when most people think you are just a whiz with a computer? Just because you make a living (or just barely one!) doing something you're good at, doesn't mean you have to give up something else you're good at! Let's go back to the baking example, shall we? Let's say, someone is really good at baking and can make a killer batch of Soft Molasses Cookies. However, in their everyday life, they work as an online promotions manager and no one really knows they can bake, because they spend all of their time online promoting a brand or company for their paycheck. They could easily do that for X amount of time, then when they get off work, they can go into the kitchen and make two or three batches of cookies, and each batch produces, say six dozen cookies. Now it

Pageant Pressure is REAL!

When you think of a pageant, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Leave your answer in the comments, because I really want to know. Do you think of the very beautiful, talented, "perfect-body-type" competitors? Or do you think of the huge crowns, money, travel opportunities, and other things the chosen competitor receives when she wins the title of Miss "Local", Miss "State" or Miss America. Or is it Miss "Country", and then Miss Universe? It all depends on how you view pageants. I, myself, am a competitor in pageants. Now before you go judging me, hear what I have to say. I am doing it purely for fun. Granted, it is very expensive fun, but then again so is Disney Land/World, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, and other places. For example, in Kansas City there is a place called the Great Wolf Lodge. A lot of fun and a lot of out-of-pocket expenses. I'd have to save all of my tips for two years to spend a week there. And I make some p

Bowling!!!!!

Okay, I know... Very little about bowling. I know what a spare is, what an open is, hat a strike is, and what a split is. And a little bit about the scoring. But working at a bowling alley doesn't make me a pro bowler. In fact I am very bad at bowling. Instead of using the approach, I walk up to the foul line and throw the ball. And hope I hit the pins instead of get a gutter ball. Not that great at bowling. But it can be fun to bowl when you want to just hang out with friends. Or your siblings. In fact, I get my brother to go bowling with me sometimes, just so we van spend time together. It is a lot of fun. I have a friend that went bowling for his 21st birthday with his brothers and cousin. And all of them got gutter balls except him! Don't ask how, because I have no idea. He got a strike. Which made the whole situation funny. I only know all of this because my brother went with them, and one of his brothers recorded the entire thing, and posted it. Haha! Funny.
